Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Beam Telepet's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Description of Services
Beam Telepet provides a telemedicine platform connecting pet owners with licensed veterinarians for virtual consultations. Our services include general consultations, follow up appointments, and prescription renewals for eligible conditions.
Important Limitations
Not for Emergencies
Our services are NOT intended for emergency situations. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, including but not limited to difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, poisoning, trauma, or loss of consciousness, please contact your local emergency veterinary clinic immediately.
Scope of Virtual Care
Virtual consultations have inherent limitations. Our veterinarians cannot perform physical examinations and may recommend in person care when appropriate. Virtual care is not suitable for all conditions, and our veterinarians reserve the right to decline treatment or refer you to local care.
User Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your pet
- Be present during scheduled video consultations
- Maintain a stable internet connection and functional camera/microphone
- Follow veterinary recommendations and seek in person care when advised
- Not use our services for emergency situations
Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments should be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Late cancellations or no shows may be subject to fees. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to technical issues or veterinarian availability.
Payments and Refunds
Payment is required at the time of booking. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars and may be subject to applicable taxes. Refunds for completed consultations are provided at our discretion. Technical issues on our end that prevent consultation completion will result in a full refund.
Prescriptions
Our veterinarians may prescribe medications when clinically appropriate and within their scope of practice. Some medications may require an in person examination before prescription. Prescriptions are sent electronically to participating pharmacies.
Privacy and Data
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of our platform are owned by Beam Telepet and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from consultations. The relationship with our veterinarians does not constitute an ongoing veterinary client patient relationship unless explicitly stated.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beam Telepet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
